Its all been a bit frustrating actually Mark.
One guy said he was coming on the same Sunday as Dave and Sal's Noggin n Natter, which I was planning on going to,
but didn't turn up texting a very late half hearted apology saying he would be in touch and I haven't heard from him since. A couple of others have said they would like to view and then cancelled. So no one has actually looked at the car in the flesh and as I hope you will agree it's a real 'first to see will buy' car

Several offers via eBay but non have been enough to secure the sale but thankfully no stupid ones. Numerous enquiries via email but having sold 2 previous vehicles on line I've learned that email and text contact usually means timewaster/can't actually afford it, genuinely interested buyers will call

Worst of all though I agreed, by telephone, a price a few weeks ago with a dealer in modern classic cars from just outside of Glasgow, who then backed out. A couple of weeks later I receive a strange email from him which basically said "I see you've not sold the car, ha, ha, and you've had to reduce the price LOL", which I ignored A couple of days later he uses the eBay 'Buy it Now' facility with no other contact and, surprise, surprise, fails to pay

So if anyone has any dealings with these shysters be very wary indeed http://www.themodernclassiccarco.com/contactus
Uses the name modernclassicarco and theporschespecialists on eBay

All is fair in war and car sales!

There are a lot of dreamers and timewasters undoubtedly.

I'm a bit vexxed by the car dealer and his behaviour, what a dick!

It'll sell, as you say, to the first who actually bothers to see it in the flesh

Modern Classic Car which you say is just outside of Glasgow are the people who have sold the black 90 quattro 20V to a friend of mine, despicable behaviour of them on your car Carl

What I really don't get with these cars..

"Honest Joe" struggles to sell car for ~£2000

Then later I see it advertised at double the price by person X.

Then later some dodgy dealer advertises for £Triple+ the price ...and it sells!

I see that pattern often with these cars and I just don't get it.

Part of its down to presentation, we’ve all seen adverts, for excellent cars, that do them no favours.
I think as well that people feel as if there’s more options if there’s a problem afterwards with a car bought from a genuine trader.

Despicable behaviour alright, what the bet he's a member (lurker on here, you know the ones we don't know are dealers) and has decided on 9K based on the low mileage and good things many of us say about the 90 20v??
