Default Fitting a V6 bumper to a b4 avant

Morning all!

If I manage to secure a v6 bumper.... I've been looking at pictures and I'm thinking there is a difference as to how it attaches. Mine has the bolt that goes up vertically behind the two lower side grills. But looking at a picture that I got from FB, it appears to be different..

Would be good to here from people that have done this and can shed any light on the matter...

This is the back of a v6 bumper..looks to have two screws per side horizontally perhaps..

Here's mine when I was taking off the vertical long bolt, one each side..

Car was put to good use yesterday!

I've currently got the bumper off my car.

Can probably take some pictures of the mounting brackets and how it attaches. It's completely different though - there's only 2 c-shape brackets held on by a single M8 bolt on each side behind the fog lamps

The V6/Coupe bumpers use brackets that bolt up to the front panel, accessible after removal of the fog lights & it's secured to the wings too either side. These brackets normally come with the bumper as it's the most logical way of removing it.

V6's & Coupes have captive nuts of sorts on the wings. You'll not have that luxury on yours, just need to diversify

Would be good to see the photos!

I'm happy about the side brackets, as I'm sure they are the same or very similar, but it does seem that something is required for the front ones..

Basically the v6 bumper and the s2 bumper aren't a straight fit on to my car...many obstacles being put in the way of this conversion it seems..

Thanks Mike... Looking at the pics.. The first one is on its side? And the second is looking towards the ground?

So going by that, I think you mean the brackets with the two nuts and the screw hole in it. (And my original long bolt holding my bumper on goes up through this threaded hole?) And if so will my car have the two holes for these nuts/bolts to go in to?? And where am I getting these brackets from?

First one is the driver side. Taken at a different angle because the headlamp trim is hanging down on that side so would cover the view.

895 807 131 x2 is what you require

895 807 139 are the 2 c shape brackets that are also needed

If you remove your bumper can you not remove the existing bumper brackets from the front of the chassis leg then fit the V6 bumper?

The brackets on the back of the bumper in your picture bolt straight on to the forward end of the chassis leg.

I'll take my bumper back off and see exactly what's what. Yeh I reckon you are right. However the bumper in the picture isn't the one I'm getting its just a library pic.

Good info though!
