Went to a LPG place yesterday in Bath, they were charging £1761 all in to LPG a 2.8 V6 4Motion passat like yours.......

problem is, we now have 2 dogs, so an estate is pretty much an essential.

Well.........

Duncan: get a flight to East Midlands Airport. Car is taxed. Book car in for MoT near your home, then drive it back, insured in your name. Then use yours for parts. Auto box will do 30mpg on a run.

Some people say this is legal, some say it isn't......... (I drove my 80CL 48 miles to the MoT station near my work).

not for me im afraid dude......good idea for someone though..
was just reminded by..the bank manager (wife) that accountants fees are due soon..

and i have to set up another ISA and another life insurance policy to take into account parenthood........
just the wrong time for me...

have even tried to get my father to buy it !! but hes looking for the same cost savings from his next car as deegee is...

Thanks for your comments guys. I have the car up on Retro Rides now as well. I do feel sad that no one wants it but never mind, I have my motorcycles to feel nostalgic over. Annoyed though that some people have said they are interested but they never get back to me. Whats the point in that? Perhaps they are hoping to pick it up for tuppence. I'd rather scrap it than that. Its worth £150 in scrap and tax back alone. Bloody chancers
