Audi Coupe quattro GTI Engineering RE2400

Dont know what the power upgrade was, but the receipt is for an "RE2400 Engine Conversion" and the total bill came to £3491.62 on 22nd December 1989 - I can assure you that it's fast enough

that's a shit load to shell out on the engine so soon after buying it. Would love to know the power output compared to a standard one.

still can't work out this bit though..

It is a genuine quattro underneath, currently wearing a coupe body. The reason for that is that when it was 2 years old, the original owner's son managed to wrap it around a tree. It was repaired by the local Audi dealership by fitting a replacement body on it. I actually managed verified to this story by bumping into the guy who was the dealership bodyshop manager at the time, who recognised the car

About 190bhp - but the same engine might not be in it now.

From the 4 bolt fixings, to the battery in the engine bay right through to the analoge dash

Probably a stolen CQ with a written off Ur VIN. (or something similar).. There were a few about by the early 90's

Thats worth a punt from anyone wanting one. Although I expect it will go for poss upwards of 700 quid with the engine if it's as it says it is. Not sure why the Scooby wheel is in it though? Looks a bit naff but simple to change.

if it's an RE2500, then power will be 170bhp.. and 180 pounds of torque .

0-60 is 'suppose' to be 7.6 sec. and 131mph allegedly ( although my speedo said one35 )

The engines were fitted with the standard camshaft, to keep a good spread of torque across the rev range. However 190bhp is possible with a performance camshaft fitted, so i am led to believe.

If my car ever makes it back on the road, I shall let you all know as i plan to buy a schrick cam for it.
