Default A new car in my stable

Just got off the Eurotunnel back in the UK. Still heading home at the minute after 2479Miles covered so far!!!! I have a new rarity to add to my expanding collection.

John and myself have just ventured to the north tip of Poland and after a slight detour on the Satnav ended up only being 20km from the Russian border to collect this rare beasty!

Another Audi 80 2 door "quattro" but this time a pre face lift.
It is a little rough around the edges and the exhaust tip is not to everyone's taste, it is fitted with a 10v turbo engine from a 200 but not currently running

One day Dave, one day

Opportunities like these are like getting a winning scratch card so have to be acted upon.

And the trip was all based around sportquattro's

I went with Clive a new guy to the Audi world who has commissioned me to build him a sportquattro next year so I dropped him off in Eitorf, Germany to collect a 2 door 80 and drive it home, this one is a good candidate for cutting as it has had a rear end accident but still drove home ok.
Also on the trip was John who has a very nice UR quattro currently having a full monster restoration and rebuild. Who also plans to build a sportquattro.

Then we met up with Marco who kindly put us up for the 2 nights out there. He has a sportquattro saloon that he has created that has more genuine sportquattro parts than a genuine car!!!!

Epic trip Brian - thanks for the lift - my 1072 miles in 24.5 hrs looks positively light weight in comparison to yours! Look forward to working with you on the shorty.

By the way, all of the bits from the 80 that aren't being used for the shorty have to go so get in touch if you need anything.

All the best.

Clive

Poland, home of the 80 2-door quattro's or didn't Martin from Canada also got his from Poland?

Anyway, good catch Bri and it's some serious dedication picking it up all the way from the UK to Poland.
