S2 vs V6 coupe quattro
Apart from the obvious 4 stud not 5 stud, are there any differences between the running gear on the two cars?
I'm still after upgrading the 90. 4 stud could mean I would not have to have the additional expense of new wheels and tyres if all fits Many thanks

S2 uses larger diameter shocks.

Also thicker rear anti roll bar. That's about it. That ARB is actually cheap, the rest is question of taste or stuff you really don't want/need - 5 studs will give you trouble getting brake discs or modifying some to fit, and these S2 front shocks also seem to be unavailable - I wouldn't be surprised if those that are available turned out to be standard B series item with spacers included in box to fit in those struts.

Gav has suggested getting the V6 stuff instead keeping my diff and driveshafts although the S2 items are much beefier/stronger . Would you go along with that?
Any other options? Perhaps staying 4 stud would not be such a bad thing as disks callipers and wheels would save money. More confused

Aren't the front wheel bearings bigger on the later cars, know its the one concern i have with mine as a lot smaller at the front which seems odd...

Front bearings are 82 mm [or maybe 83 mm, I've forgotten] on B3 20v and B4 V6/S2 - 75 mm for the rest. There is also difference between bearing housings of B3 and B4 - B4 stuff have thicker bolts that keep both strut parts together - IIRC 14 mm for B4 and 12 mm for B3 - I had to use drill to mate together upper parts from B3 Typ8A A90 and lower parts from B4 V6.
