Default Still need help with brake discs

Hi, I asked about rear brake discs for my Audi 100 2.2e 1989, I was kindly advised with part no:443615601e although when the garage tried fitting them they where the wrong size. It is the centre where they are 6.5mm to short. Anyone have any more suggestions please. Now beginning to pull my hair out and I haven't got much!! The car is a standard Audi salon its not been customised in any way cant believe its so hard to get them. I am getting desperate now need to keep the old girl on the road! Any further help much appreciated gaz

Interesting, found another site listing the same equivalent part number as I gave you on the brakes international site and the discs they list for that part number are 6.5 mm deeper (hat height is 65.5 not 59 like the ones on the original link I gave you) thats exactly the difference you quoted 6.5 mm

Link to 65.5 hat height part here

http://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/443615601e

Original link I gave you here so there is definitely a difference of 6.5 mm in depth really sorry looks like the catalogue is wrong at the brakes international site unless there is an alternative one listed by them (not looked)

http://brakeparts.co.uk/#!/shop/AUDI...0Drums/BDS4343

found it further down the page on their site, about 3 different options for your car depending on year.

Part number is correct according to
http://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+100...9/6/615-88012/
unless it has 5 stud wheels/hubs.

This bit doesn't quite make sense to me. Could you be a little more specific? Maybe with a picture?

And
Confirm the part numbers on the box that the discs came in

Best resource to check is the ATE online catalogue which gives all the dimensions

http://www.ate-brakes.com/catalogues/online-catalogues/

can't link directly to the page

443 615 601 - disc height is 59.2
443 615 601 E - disc height is 65.5

are the 2 available numbers

it's entirely possible the wrong discs have been supplied in the correct box

So, by 'Too short', I guess you have been supplied -601, and you need -601E?

Does that make sense?
What/who was the supplier? Get them to swap them if you can.

Mods- could someone move/merge this thread with the original, to keep it all in one place?

Hi , firstly I apologise for the delay in my reply, I have looked at the replies but have not had the time due to work to do anything about them. thank you for the replies this evening iv finally got chance to follow them up and have ordered a set of 601E from AUTODOC hopefully this time the right ones although none actually list my model or spec etc which is a little worrying. but its nice to be different!! thanks again all of you hopefully next time I'm on here it will be with positive news.
