Default Cars that influenced you as a child.

For me it was a mixture of cars from TV programmes, the white XJ-S from Return Of The Saint, Steed's Jaguar XJC 5.3 and Rover 3500 SD1, Gambit's red XJ-S from The New Avengers, Doyle's RS2000, Bodie's Capri 3.0S and Cowley's Granada 2.8i Ghia from The Professionals and the daddy of them all, the Consul 3.0 GT from The Sweeney.
In real life it was my brother in law's Mk2 Escort RS2000s, Mk2 Mexico, Mk2 RS1800, Mk2Lotus Cortina etc etc, so much cooler than my dad's Rover 2000TC and Mk2 Capri 1.6L that he had at the time. My dad did have a Mk2 Jaguar 3.8, but that was sold before I was born.

Pretty much nailed it there Ken with the TV cars But you've missed McGill's Hillman Imp from Man in a Suitcase or more seriously The Barons Jensen CV8

For me though its just got to be Herbie The Love Bug

Perhaps i am a bit different as in i had no interest in cars it was motorbikes for me it must have been as the family was growing that i learned to drive out of need for transport for them then i started to be interested in cars i guess and restored a Transcontinental bodied Vauxhall Ventora

The first car that I really noticed was my uncle's 100 Coupe in 1971, it was the most exciting car I'd ever been in. Then the Quattro in the Lombard RAC rallies. So I drive Audis.
