Default A8 advice

Been toying with the idea of binning my company car (currently Honda Accord ES GT Tourer) due to HMRC raping and pillaging me for exorbitant amounts of tax.

I do mainly motorway miles between North Manchester and London but need a decent load carrier as we have 2 year old twins, for the times they are in my car so was thinking of a big old cruiser such as A8 or 7 series.

So my question is does anyone have any experience of the A8 3.0TDI around a 05/06 plate?

Ta in advance
Andy ..

I too would be interested to hear about the D3 A8 diesels. Quite tempted by the 4.2tdi to replace my Octavia vRS (very different beasts I know!) but at less than £8k for a sub 100k 4.2 tdi I'm very tempted!

That's what caught my eye, seems a lot of car for very little money. I know of expensive horror stories on the S8's but the 3.0 & 4.2 Diesels never seem to prompt tales of woe and huge garage bills.
