Ive sprayed it on both sides aplenty and and left it for now to soak in. In the meantime have washed and clayed all 4 wheels and polished them up with a super duper polish that resists brakes dust. Been fishing monday but hoping to get back on it tomorrow.
Personally i don't think any amount of plusgas is going to help. Reason,..........all my brake lines are coated in PVC and if they start to powder up underneath no amount plus gas is going to help whilst the pvc is still there. I'm faced with carefully and laboriously cutting back the pvc sheath and clean up as much as possible and then give it another go. I'll provide pics later of this as it's obviously a problem for these cars. |

Loads of stuff on the net about this and looking at some of the actual test it seems to work. Wouldn't take much to steal the wife's nail polish remover and get some power steering fluid etc and give it a go. |

Best of luck but I find Formula A will work in the end. Perseverence dear boy! When it's all going back together, a good spray with a lanolin based anti-corrosive and regular treatment afterwards will help. This stuff is the dog's... http://www.fluid-film.com/ Last edited by SwallownAmazon; 01-11-17 at 06:03 PM. |

I vote heat too. I use one of these cheap blow torches / Cooks torch. It does most jobs. Probably available cheaper if you search t'internet.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...jZL&ref=plSrch ...plus I agree that a brake spanner is a must, I'd use one on both sides tho, if you have a pair the right size. Last edited by Alburglar; 02-11-17 at 08:00 AM. |

I use acetone to clean fibreglass resin off my tools. It is bloody good stuff, never heard of the ATF mix before, but It sounds promising.

You would think my brake spanner of 25 years would be useful.Absolutely not in this case! Getting more luck out of a 11M open ended spanner except on the really bad side where the small mole grips is in order. |

Well i've been having fun out there. I've got the passenger side done now, leaving the plus gas these last few days to work and removing the pvc sheathing has worked.
Once the pvc sheeting was removed and the effects of Plus gas A i was able to ease of nut sufficiently to use it as intended. Phew! All done now on that side. |
