Default Please help identify this sump

Hi there I was directed here as I have what I believe is some kind of audi bafled sump. Vw were unable to identify it and I was hoping a forum member may be able to help me work out what it is ive got. I have pictures of the sump on my phone but cant seem to upload them onto this site if anyone can help please?

could be a 80 sport one? does it have cooling fins and two wing ext on the side?

Yes that sounds like it. Cooling fins externally and two extra jackets. I was sold it for use with a mk1 golf engine im building but it was never designed for that configuration so its now surplus to requirements. Ill try and get some pictures up through photobucket. Ill be advertising it once its been identified.

yep audi 80 sport sump,people try to pass them of as vw motorsport sumps and as you said wrong fitment for your car

Strange thing is that part number doesn't show up on VWs system at all. The closest match is an audi 80 sump but I would have thought any run of the mill audi 80 sump would show up on ETKA?
