Fuel Pump Relay
Hi Folks. I have a 2ltr 1985 Audi Coupe GT in need of a fuel pump relay.
Does anyone know the part number and where I might get one? HELP please. Many thanks, Paul. |

Hi Paul, as a quick fix run a 2.5mm single wire to the pump from the battery +, fit an inline 20a fuse to protect the wiring, see if the pump runs if not run a new earth wire 2.5mm to the pump, if there is still no joy give the pump a light tap with something metal, it may be stuck because it lay for so long dry, if the pump dose start to run watch for leaks, if no leaks and the pump running try and start the car, if the system is dry of fuel the pump will have to pump fuel from the tank to the fuel metering head in the engine bay and the back via the return pipe to the tank, with a good pump this will normally take less that 10 seconds.

Hi Colin, we have run a wire to the pump but it seem to be dead. I've ordered a new pump but am having terrible trouble tracking down the correct relay. The one I bought from ebay supposedly for my car but it did not fit, missing a spade it the center-ish. I'm sure if I could get the correct part number, I could buy one and get all new right through.
