Default Ultrasonic Cleaner

Hello Folks,

I hope all is well.

Has anyone had experience using Ultrasonic Cleaners?

I see they can be had for under £100 and seem quite handy for cleaning all sorts of things.

Only used one years ago for cleaning carburettors, it was excellent for that, but no electrics to worry about

Ive got one of these and its pretty darn useful.

The one job I got it for it worked brilliantly on, a clogged with rust stainless steel oil cooler that has coolant running through it , just like on some 80's and golfs.
It took a fair few sessions but it cleared out an absolutely solid mass of rust and saved me a couple of hundred quid for a new item.
Useful for all sorts including yer grans false teeth...

Sounds like it would be good for my dirty idle valve..

Is eBay a good place to buy them?

Thats where I got mine from, I didnt buy the biggest as I didnt need something too large.

Paid about 100 quid as I recall.

Dont use petrol or solvents like thinners in em!
Use waterbased cleaners such as truckwash/tfr suitably diluted.
These also have a heater that you can set the temps on to help further remove crud etc.

Mines identical to this one but not as large. (i say that to all the girls).
