Default Audi ur quattro coupe GT, type 81/85 sun visor clip 855857561

Hi All

Just wandering if anyone has two sun visor clips for sale please?

I was out in my RR today parked up for an hour or so and the heat has made them brittle and both of them have come apart when I used the visor! They became incredibly soft. Gutted to say the least. They were original parts.

I've seen some on ebay and was wondering if they are good or are they a bad fit etc?

Any help would be greatful.

Many thanks for your time it is appreciated

Regards

Presume you are considering the following item:

They are certainly a good fit but are not identical to the originals.

After the best part of a decade refusing to pay top money for replacement clips I succumbed mainly due to fatigue. So bought an ‘all things considered’ expensive pair of clips from the very same supplier.

Fitted perfectly, working exactly as OEM and begrudgingly probably worth the money, even if it still smarts.

You can get them direct from the supplier, but after import taxes and postage it may not be cheaper.

We did a group buy a while back (pre Brexit) and including postage costs out to buyers the price was about £25 for a pair. If you buy about 15 pairs I suspect the price would be below £28 a pair and there is plenty of demand.

Both mine have turned to crumbled dust this year, a price for using the old girl I guess, but man that price feels like daylight robbery, are masks allowing everyone to be Dick Turpin ?

I bought some mark 2 Golf clips and modified by removing the tab and drilling a second hole as recommended on the Facebook page. They look fine to me except obviously I need to paint it!

Some on eBay here..https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MK1-MK2-G...-127635-2958-0
