Default UR door card removal

Hi. I did see once an article showing how to remove the door card inc handle etc. I need to see why the travel on my external door lever has increased making it difficult to open
Anyone have such info or direct me to the site

I don't know the article, but it's pretty straightforward.

Remove all the screws from around the door pocket, plus one that is in the pocket divider (accessed by putting a pozi screwdriver through the carpeted section.

Remove the cover in the middle of the "mirror" triangle and the screw behind to reveal another screw holding a tab at the top of the door card.

Similarly, pop the cover behind the internal handle, remove screw & backplate, 2 screws in the underside of the door pull. If it's the driver's side, pop the connector for the mirror control.

Unscrew the locking knob on top.

Then it's 2/3 poppers down each side, lift it out of the window slot and Robert's your mothers brother

Regarding the handle travel, I also experienced this and found the handle casting to be cracked and required a replacement.

Hope this helps & good luck

Be careful of the plastic links between the handle and lock mechanisms, they can be a bit brittle.

Those instructions are spot on-i only mention that to remove the inner grab handle you need to rotate it about 60 degrees clockwise to line up the slots with the retainers-you'll see what i mean when you do it...

also, anyone have a spare one of these "pop the cover behind the internal handle" and is at the meet on Sunday? I have £2 for you if you do!

I knew I'd miss something

Always happy to be corrected though

Finally got around to it last night. Door card all off, tip on handle useful. Handle to be replaced. Before I get forceful with the rods linked to the handle mechanism, do they pull out of the plastic cam and metal link?
Lever gave up the ghost as I went to open door to strip the card so new handle it is.

https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+qu...6/8/837-78000/

Item 9 is a push fit into 29
Item 36 needs to be rotated to unclip it from item 8.
Item 8 can then be pulled out if the small lever on the handle

Remove screws 17 & 18 and you're there

Not much room for big hands like mine &you will lose some skin on those panel edges

Good luck with it
