Default B2 seats required.

Looking for some seats that would fit my 1987 CQ. I'm keeping the originals so that any future buyer can return the car to standard in the future, however I ideally need 2 front seats that I can bastardise the bases on to fit some bucket seats. I'm in Cornwall so they would need shipping/ courier. Wondering if audi 80/ 90/ 100 seat bases might be direct fit.

I keep hearing stories about vw polo/golf seat bases being used, anyone have any experience of that?

Good luck in your quest. I've got the Missus geared up to re-upholster my old Coupe GT - front passenger seat is out & stripped. Fabric arrival later this week (I hope).

hi james007 ,I also own a 1984 gt which I am doing up . all the seats need replacing or re-covering . do you mind me asking how much the fabric costs for the one seat you /wife are re-covering . I guess you have purchased trim from audi tradition ?

Not planning on using original style fabric I'm afraid. Hard wearing chenille upholstery fabric will be the order of the day - black & charcoal mix instead of the original loud green 'tartan'. I know this will cause offence in more 'traditional' Audi circles but it's me who has to live with it.

Speaking of Audi tradition fabric, has anyone ever purchased the fabric from there? I could do with some fabric to repair/re-trim a B2 86 CQ seat matching the colour/pattern as per the attached picture.

I have looked on the audi tradition website but I don't find it clear from the picture or description if the fabric they have for sale is what I need to match the seat in the picture.

Can anyone help on this?

Cheers
