high tide has flooded every shop/restaurant/arcade on the beach here, I can't remember anything like it before. An old fishermen says he remembers it being 1ft above the harbour wall before but today its been more like 3ft apparently

are you up nr Scarborough?
We had a driver dropping in Hull this afternoon who was supposed to go on the train to Scarborough to collect his next car and they said he had more chance of seeing god than getting there!

pretty bad around the Wirral. My Lynn was mad enough to go down to Hoylake and experienced scenes similar to below

I just went down for a nosy now its calmed down,several £100k worth of damage that I saw

high tide in the morning is going to be even higher apparently

Did your driver manage to escape Hull then?,or rather 'european city of culture' lmfao

yeah, luckily we had alternative cars to get out of Hull as well. Only local moves but at least he was able to escape unharmed!
We're Midlands based but about 70% of our work is around Leeds/York/Hull/Stockton and Sunderland at the moment.


We've had a few drivers in Scotland as well today but all managed to escape ok despite minimal public transport.
I dropped one of my drivers off in Shrewsbury at 07:30 this morning as he had a 16 seater minibus to take to Newton St Boswells.
Worst journey of his life apparently! Luckily he only had to get over to Kelso after and had a Ford Galaxy to head south in but a long day by all accounts
