I've gone down the route of the full S2 conversion with KW coilovers and 4 pot Brembo's up front. Like previous comments above it leaves you scope for future power upgrades and knowing you've done the conversion gives you confidence in the handling department. Finding a good rear subframe might prove difficult to find.

Original g/b worked fine until I went big turbo. Then each gear just ran out of puff just as the turbo came on song so lag issues were accentuated.
As said, you can pick up all S2 running gear for probably less than the conversion And as I already said, options for any further work are improved no end
As for the Diffs, any 6 speed upgrade should work fine as same final drive ratio of 4:11

Unhappy Be kind,to me.

So it looks like,I need some S2 running gear.
When you say running gear does that mean, both sub frames, struts, drive shafts and anti-roll bar?Anything, else?
Is it acase of,just swopping everything over?
I have a 6 speed box, that I'll be picking up in the near future.

Everything's finally seems to be coming together, after ALONG time.Brother has finally found a larger unit and should move in soon.
Let the fun,begin.

I'll be using the standard turbo, but it's nice to have room for scope.
I'm sure after awhile,I'll want to upgrade. As you do.
How's yours,coming along?

Question Just a thought.

If you changed all the running gear to S2,would you have to run it on a Q plate?

I don't think so cos you're not actually changing the chassis
Additional benefit is the rear ARB. Should reduce understeer quite a bit
