Audi Coupe GT Dash Lighting

Hi all,

The red tinted back lighting of the instrument cluster went on the coupe a month or so ago and I finally got around to having look.

I've replaced, what I thought to be, the two culprit bulbs, found on the top corners of the instrument cluster in blue holders (W5W fitment).

However still no lighting which is strange. The centre gauges and switches still light up, and the dimmer works on those, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the whole circuit.

I haven't removed the whole instrument cluster yet, but was wondering if anyone else had similar problems and recommends anything?
