mental weather here again on the north ayrshire coast - i woke up during the night with the building moving and an otherworldly sound coming through ted moult's double glazing!!

the flooded area in the photos is the putting green and the little brick shed is where you pay your money. but not today.... !!

for once i'm glad to be a little higher up than sea level!

hope it's a bit better where you are.

aye, the fleeto are well inland - ie glasgow and dalry just now!!

the putting shed is still standing - the beachcombers are out there just now sifting through the dross that the tide brought in with it. i call them "the wombles" as all you ever get is crap washed up and not a treasure chest in sight! i did see a 45 gallon castrol gtx drum floating by the other day, which although potentially hazardous looked quite retro cool!!

Similar story here! High tides and wind don't go well.. the little town here, the sea just took out the walls at the harbour like the were made of lego! Boats were seen floating in mid air, a few feet above the harbour, which was totally submerged. I'll try to get a pic up later, folk say 1960's was the last time it happened. I've never trusted houses at sea level, glad I don't live in one.

Oh aye.. And there's a campsite which we maintain which is now.. Em. Gone. Under four feet of seaweed, logs and plastic. Suppose we'll be getting a call to do something about it but you're talking manitou, tractor and trailer job for a few days at least!
