I'm always nervous with an MOT, I'm as diligent as I can be but we're all only human.

Inspector said the underside was immaculate and was very complimentary about the car.

It needs some miles under the belt and some professional paintwork as it's clean/smart from a distance but not so much closer in but all in all, a very nice car.

Bottom line is, within a month, it's gone from a serious candidate for the scrappie, to clean car with a future, I'm pleased about that.

I intend to keep it nice and dry in my garage for a couple of months until my other lease car goes back. So will be tucked away safe. Don't want those nice new brake discs getting rusty!

Just to show a good project is never quite done.

Wishbone bushes replaced yesterday, it was Fathers Day so I treated myself to a sneaky hour in the garage. The Meyle bushes are good, the white stuff is ice.

Suspension completely quiet now.

Noticed that the next noise of import was the fuel pump which I hadn't noticed before. It's easily twice the volume of my external pump on the 90 whereas I think it should be quieter. Popped the old one out, new one in the post. Noticed that the petrol inside the tank was lovely and warm. I don't know if this is normal or whether it's a sign that the pump was failing with increased friction and heat.

Centred the steering wheel and checked for any firmware update on the head unit (some modern JVC bluetooth thingy) which there wasn't.

Running out of things to do, which is a good thing as it's going away on Saturday.

And sold to Audifan.

Genuinely sad to see it go but glad to see it going to a good home.

Another one saved
