Audi 200 dash clocks not working
So, I was driving the 200 two weeks ago when she developed a backfire and she cut out. Just prior to backfiring I lost all the clocks, they all went dead bar the outside temp gauge. As the outside temp gauge is on a separate loom to the clocks then I’m looking at a fault (perhaps a blown resistor?) to the main clocks. Anyone have any insights into this that may help? I have spare standard clocks that I can use for donor parts, but I don’t know where to start. Thanks in advance.

I am not up with 200’s but the backfire just before the loss of the clocks, to me suggests a major grounding issue. I would be checking engine and starter motor grounds.

Thanks buddy, i did consider a bad grounding issue and it’ll be my first port of call. I hope the clocks aren’t blown though, that’ll be a complete ball ache.
