The fuse boxes are primarily lots of formed metal busbars, all in close proximity, so water could bridge between tracks.
If you get onto it fairly quickly, you should be fine.
Who were these muppets? Community assistance- name and shame.

I'd really rather not say who they were as I have used them for years (with newer cars) and this is the first problem i've ever really had with them. Normally they are good if a little slow. An MOT and the rocker cover etc has so far taken them 6 days

I'd like to think this is a one off but know if I take the car back to them they will either cock it up while holding onto the car for a week, or do something else to probably make the wheels fall off lol

Lekky heater blower trained on the Fuse box inside the car with the doors shut for a couple of hours should sort it out.

Fuse box can be relatively easy taken out of the car - once the one who does it learns that biggest connector colors are written on it, and besides them there's only some wires attached which positions should be memorized.

Good luck with it!
Yeah, the same goes for me, despite of some different details because of different countries.

Default Dash stopped working

Check also they have re attached the earth strap from rocker cover to front panel near the off side headlight. And check earths inside the 2 door pillars. Check the plugs onto your headlight bulbs For corrosion now they have had a bath with degreaser.

As people have already said it's water in the fusebox shorting out circuits or it's a bad earth and it is feeding back to other units that have a better earth.

Hi again....i'm back

Right after spending most of the morning dissecting the car, the earth strap is attached to the rocker cover, fuse box dry.

Checked the fuse for the indicators, dash etc and it had blown. Replaced the fuse and on switching the ignition on it blew again straight away. Don't have any more fuses to keep trying but any ideas what could be causing it to blow?
