Problem turned out to be part 27. It was swollen and stiff on the ball.
As I didn’t have another to hand, a Dremel with a small head was used to grind out lots of the swollen part until the ball was looser.
Gear changes now back to normal!
Will still replace the nylon part sometime, but no rush.

There’s nothing worse than swollen parts….

The nylon had rotted. Maybe from use of wrong grease. It was like rubber.
They are available as remanufactured parts but shaving off the rubber has worked so far. If the gear change goes off again, I will buy the part.
