Spark Plugs for C3 KU engine - Advice please
Greetings Folks,
Keeping well I hope. Just a little advice please on spark plugs for my C3's KU engine..... It's time to change them and I've always used Bosch plugs (WR6DTC) without issues. I've read a lot of good things about NGK plugs and I'm tempted to try their multi-electrode BUR6ET plugs. NGK seems pricier. Does anyone have a view as to which is the better brand, NGK vs Bosch? Is a multi-electrode plug really better than a single electrode? Opinions gratefully received....... |

Hi
I know it doesn't answer your question NGK vs Bosch but have you considered Denso Iriduim plugs. I came against the same issue when I updated my B3. I considered the Bur6et plugs but finally went for Denso. I must say they cost more, but they certainly are brilliant and never miss a spark. |

I tend to favour Bosch as that was OEM. NGK didn't make a suitable plug for these when they were new although they do now.
TC = triple core which are preset. If you go single electrode, you'll need to gap them You can also use Beru which tend to be more expensive but are the same as Bosch. I've got W6DTC in my 10v currently

I can second Iridium plugs. I always switch to them with any vehicle I get! Be careful that you buy plugs with removable screw on tops if you need to remove them-I think Denso tops are not removable. I use ngk 6637 in my ur which are so I can use either type of spark plug lead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Chaps,
Eventually went with the NGK BUR6ET plugs and am pleased with them so far. Considered Denso etc, but NGK fit my budget on this occasion. Maybe next time... |
