from VagCat
17 431698471B
set of seals for brake caliper housing / F >> 85-G-902 400*
/ QUATTRO

(17) 447698471
set of seals for brake caliper housing / F 85-H-900 001>>
/ QUATTRO

At a guess, this relates to single pot callipers (G54) which were up to 1986 sometime (G chassis?)
and probably for twin pot callipers (G60) which were later. Late WR, MB/RR

So, I'd bet that your car has twin pots, but best to check. In which case, no they wouldn't fit.

Thanks for that, I didnt realise that brake calipers were changed then and I thought it was up until the introduction of the mb, so I have to be careful. If Im reading my chassis number correctly, mines a HA

I know of a 1986 WR which 'appears' never to have been modified, with G60s. And I fitted G60s to mine a while back, dumping the G54s, so it's not absolute anyway.
