Good pics... So perhaps other than the bit on the floor of the 80, there was nothing on the mat itself, other than the metal insert. Mine are a little discoloured. The part numbers from the eBay link on page 1, when put in etka, show compatible for a4 years onwards... Saying that, I might just get a set, cheap enough, they might work, or be made to work..

Yep,thats how Audi supplied them for the B4 80 and the C4 A6. It was only later cars that
went the same way as the FE cabriolet arrangement with the round plastic cover.

Related question - what about the orange "studs" or whatever you call them that hold the mats in place? Any way to get new ones? I have 2 of those missing or broken on my Audi-s.
