Default Mikes2. (Michael Dewar)

Just read via facebook (Michael’s sister) , the devastating news that he passed away on the 15.5.2022, very very sad news , can’t believe it to be honest, he was an absolute stalwart of the classic audi community and will be sorely missed, thoughts go out to his family and close friends.
RIP Michael

Sad news, didn’t know him personally, but plenty of forum input over time. RIP.

Feck……….
Mike was a great guy and one of the real competent stalwarts on here
He’d talked about being ill and I wish I’d known it was this bad
I’d also have gone to the funeral
Terrible news

Such sad news
I only had a few dealings with Mike, but he was always one of the first to jump in with advice or an offer of spares to help someone out, myself included.

Peace to you sir.

That's a real shame. I'm missing him already.

I've had the pleasure of Mikes company on a good few occasions. One memorable time was when he gave my old 20v avant a good blast on the motorway with me hanging on in the passenger seat but still grinning. I think his grin was bigger.

Rest in peace Mike.

Oh my - just seen this by chance as haven't been able to get onto the site. Mike bought parts from me, was a source of great advice, indeed he had just shared a link with me for fuel pipe unions before the last stretch of the site going down. Only met him once at Haigh Hall a few years back but an absolutely brilliant bloke, knowledgeable and kind. He will be missed.

Oh no. That’s awful. Again I’d not met him but had many pleasant interactions over the months/years.

Awful news.

I remember Mike from the Audifans forums years ago.
Aways generous with his time and knowledge. Recently, I've been fixing my old 90 and posting up progress. Mike was often the first to offer advice and always trusted.

I recently received components from Mike to sort out a headlight. They arrived, impeccably packaged, the day before his passing. Never got to say thank you. Here's to you, Mike. Thank you.
