Default Coupe Quattro wiring help

Hello, after some time away I've started playing with the audi again. All the dash is out at the moment as I suspected there was a damaged wire somewhere (on the back of a dash light up issue and no glove box light etc).

Anyway long story short, under the steering column I've found a clump of wires with damage I suspect from ignition being drilled out at some point given all the metal flakes about. There is also a lot of electrical tape which I don't think is original from the dealer...

I can't find a Haynes manual for the 1990 coupe quattro (engine 7A 2.3 20v) does anyone have any wiring diagrams for this car before I just trace wires back and try figure out what they do the long and hard way? It's a job I keep putting off but I need to do.

Thanks in advance for any help with this horrible task.

1990 was the changeover year when they went from a 2 plug ecu to the later 4 plug version.

Do you know which one you have.

There are some diagrams here for the early cars

Keep it simple, carefully pull the outer tape off and identify what's been damaged and fix those wires properly, either by splitting them, slipping some heat shrink over and soldering them back together or splicing in new cable with the correct colours (not expensive to do) and then reinstate the cloth tape outer

Thanks for the help, any exposed wires have now been replaced, dash goes back in soon so hopefully all is good!
