Interesting photo.

Layout is slightly different. Fuel filter is near rear o/s wheel on my car, and ignition amplifier is smack bang center on fire wall.

Also interesting to note the 'Typical Faults'

Sorry i should have said it was from an A6, the giveaway is the fuel filter under the bonnet there
as apposed to ours underneath the car. Otherwise they are exactly the same.

Update -

New Ignition Amplifier/Module arrived today.

I might get a chance to fit it over the next few days, depending on the weather. Thunderstorms have been forecast.

My garage has also fitted a new fuel filter, amongst other things, and I collect the car tomorrow morning, so it will be interesting to see if it still has this misfire/hesitation issue.
If it runs fine, then this new module will just be put into a parts box for future use.
If on the other hand it is still misbehaving, well....the module is here.

Unfortunately, I'm no longer taking the Audi on the trip up into the Scottish Highlands on Friday due to an unexpected non-start issue that is now being looked into. Just been one thing after another since buying the car a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully the tide is about to turn though, and I'll get to use the car regularly as planned.

You'll get there, the tide will turn, you've already done loads since owning it. The good times are just round the corner!

I hope you're right. Every time the phone rings, I think it's my bank manager!

Cheers
