Default Audi 80 heater hose

Help!

Need a heater hose for an 80 with an AAD engine. The bleed screw has come out on mine.

Please!

Put some silicone gasket maker on that screw and screw it back and don't use it anymore, that screw isn't needed anyway.

I've patched this up a few times using a short M8 13mm bolt and force threading it into the hole, once its found its way in it can easily be removed and refitted to bleed the system. Bodgery I know but it works fine and saves buying a new hose. Forgot to add you need to pick the metal insert out of the hose for this to work.

Thats what I've done, only I wrapped a little PTFE tape around the thread just for peace of mind. I'm trying to keep my engine bay as original as possible, so a replacement is still on my wishlist.

U don't need to remove it. I personally think it is there to ensure that hose will be changed sometimes and not for some useful function B3/B4 [probably B5 as well] has very nice cooling system [I'm not 100% sure about V6 engines] that doesn't require any screws. Just fill it up, force air out of hoses by pressing them until hoses are full, if there still is no heat from heater, rev engine up for some times, or, my favorite way how to do this - driving around with accelerator in floor - usually heater has enough after 200-300m. Of course, roads and streets here is much worse than in UK, so probably this helps as well
P.S. B3 doesn't have any bleeding screws at all, at least early ones.
