Smile Cruise Control

Hi all,

let me introduce myself. im Gary have brought a 80 Cabrio 1995 1.8 Byzanz Purple.

looking to do some mods to it.

I was just wondering if I got the stalk from another 80 cabrio would it work on my car?

You'll need a lot more than just the stalk. It's mechanical and vacuum operated

you can buy an aftermarket kit off amazon from memory l think it's about 140 quid is speed sensitive a well.

I did add cruise control to my old polo, got an electro-magnet a plate of steel behind the accelerator, to engage it you flicked a switch to energise the magnet which held the accelerator in place, also added a cut off from the brake light circuit for emergencies, was great for driving along the A14 for mile after mile:
