Default Alloy Wheels - 100 Coupe S

Hi All,
Anyone know if there is a direct fit of any classic style alloy wheel for the huge stud pattern on my 100 Coupe or if there was any period aftermarket wheel available at the time such as ATS etc? Think I might have to get some adaptors made up as, whilst liking the trims - those wheels just dont fill the arches! Anyone got any ideas or indeed wheels??? (Have to be classic though - dont think a set of 'dubs' will look quite right!)
Stud pattern looks more caravan/trailer than anything else...
Cheers,

what pcd is your Audi 100 coupe?

Mine is a '75 and that's 4 x 108.
I've got early Porsche 924s alloys on it at the moment, but also have a set of Cosmics ready to fit when I get them finished off. Is yours a different pcd then?

Hi Coxy,
I think mine's the bigger pattern - I think 114mm or something - with the inboard discs as it's a pre-facelift model... Actually, was thinking there might be some shared DNA with the 924... Any other common bits? Does the 924/944 engine fit for example?

ah, is that the 4 x 4 1/4 pattern or something early and randomly large!!

Not sure about any shared parts. The 924 was a bit of a parts bin car and there's plenty of space to fit an engine under the bonnet of an early 100!

Yes, that's it - randomly large and a pain in the arse probably - was thinking early Porsche fuchs might look ok if I go down the adaptor route...?

You could the get hubs redrilled if you are going down that route! Any good machine shop should be able to do it. Else getting adaptors made for your specific wheel size would cost about about £200 a set.

Yeah thought about that but rear hunbs look tricky and actually car's a bit of a timewarp machine - last on road in 1985 so a bit reluctant to do anything that I can't reverse...

just read your signature, white with red interior is probably the nicest colour scheme of the lot (apart from Marathon blue of course!!!!!!!!!!!!)

have you any pics of it at all?
Good point about maintaining the originality, then adaptors are the way forward!
