90 Quattro 20V Sport Parts
Right, it's time to resurrect the 90. She's been in storage for almost 3 years and I now have some funds available to make a start. Plan is to get it sorted mechanically and MOT'd then drive it over the summer to pinpoint any other issues before going ahead with the cosmetic overhaul over the winter. The main thin I need is an exhaust system, I've been looking online and there doesn't seem to be any off the shelf systems available so that just leaves getting one made. Before I go down this route I thought I'd ask on here first for either pointers to somewhere online or someone who has a second hand stainless system lying about. One potential problem is that I'm over in Northern Ireland, so postage may be tricky, but I'm willing to pay so long as it doesn't push the price towards the cost of a new fabricated system.
Also a 5 branch manifold and heatshield would be nice, but not essential. And for the forthcoming cosmetic overhaul the bottom door mouldings are shot. I've seen these for sale on a US website, but the total was coming in around $500 - bit steep. so again any pointers or anyone have a good set they'd be willing to sell. Thanks, Andrew |

bottom door mouldings were still available from the dealers fairly recently.
For the exhaust, I got a genuine system for less than the cost of a stainless one. It's still going strong 7 years later

definitely says bottom door mouldings in his post
The narrow sport trims can be re-used. I had to do that when I got my car resprayed. VW Heritage listed 6 out of the 8 trims as available about 3 years ago but the price was eye watering.
