Popped down Worthing seafront about an hour and a half after high tide, the weather is quieter today, with just steady rain and lighter winds. The seaweed and gravel is all over the Promenade and the sea still very angry, dominating the pier and at a level normally reserved for high tide.

Ja'know, I could have sworn that 'little yellow shed' was outside Craig's North Ayrshire home... Bloomin' rougher than I ever imagined if its washed up in Barmouth...

Some of that USA winter stuff is supposedly heading my way.
Had another eight inches or so in last day or so and a similar amount forcast again.

Also Weather related....a sobering tale....
Had my pick up truck give up on me on Friday night in the middle of nowhere.
Was minus 16 with a windchill factor of over minus 30.
Canadian AA quoted up to 5 hrs for a rescue.....have to admit I was sh#t scared as I thought it was engine related as the smell of burning oil around the exhaust was bad and the truck was bucking and rearing.

Once I had slid under the back of the truck it looked like a driveshaft seal had gone which was a huge relief as at least I could keep the engine running to stay warm.
Managed to get picked up by local garage after an hour and a half.
Made me realize how unprepared I actually am....and how easy it would be to die !
I always wear a winter coat , insulated gloves and a woolen hat and they really didn't seem very much help.... I was frickin cold outside of the cab.
My wonderful wife goes out with no coat and just enough petrol to get to her destination.....despite me warning her for years this could happen....wonder if I should up her life insurance ?

I'm in Toronto again, today. Fun! Most of the northeast sounded like it was not having fun, this evening. We almost found ourselves in Buffalo. Handy for Niagara, I guess.
