Engine bay cardboard shields
Has anybody found an aesthetically pleasing and practical replacement for the various cardboard shields which can be found in older engine bays. Mine have disappeared completely but I do have templates off the sister car. I thought about Aluminium but then resonance could be a problem, 3mm ply....some kind of card moulded using some clever technique???

I think that's the undertray. Unfortunately the earlier Audi's (or some of them anyhow), didn't have an undertray but various pieces of boarding to channel the air to the radiator. Black stuff which disintergrates when wet... thanks anyhow

I know as my cq has the black cardboard surrounding the radiator but what I am saying is the urq one's should be able to be adapted. I only showed the undertray as an example but the rad ones on the urq are the same material as the undertray and I think could be adapted to fit others

Sory Amanda I misunderstood - yes the quattro shielding should be fairly simular - I expect it's not cheap! I will look into it...

I obtained the top rad cover for my ur off flea bay, and have seen the side cover on there, they do crop up now and again. Not too expensive either.
