Just looked a bit lost and empty!

There's also a couple of styles of speedline rims.

The earlier sets had the Speedline name embossed on one of the 6 spokes and the centre caps were screw in ones which came with a large black plastic key to undo them.
An absolute pain in the arse to remove the centre caps without the plastic key.
The later ones had push on centres with 2 small grooves where you could carefully wedge a flat head screw driver to remove the centre cap.
Ahhhhhh found said speedline piccies

Just performed the 'every 2 days' ritual of re-inflating the tyres!

The ones without the bolts would look a treat on my car... but the Aero's are the clear winners for me... originality versus visual appeal ??

I'm going to get to the bottom of the running issues before I start the spending on this car... took it out this afternoon & it ran a treat, so it can't be anything too drastic I wouldn't have thought.

The story I was told by the now closed stealer where I live was that there was a severe corrosion problem with the original big ugly five spoke design and they were instructed to fit Speedlines with the screw-in centres under warranty when owners complained. The corrosion was apparently a safety issue which led to wheels disintegrating.
Audi then approached Speedline in Italy with an order for thousands to fit as standard to certain models which led to the cheaper but probably better press-in centre piece which provided you use a nylon pry tool, doesn't damage the lacquer on the Speedline.
I have a set of four old type wheels beside the garage with peeled lacquer which would probably cost more than the car is worth to have refurbed - such is life.
Problem I now have is that tyres of the correct 205/50 x 15 size are becoming a bit scarce except for cheap Chinese rubbish or Yokos at £115 each! Fortunately I have a friend "in the business" here and he has found some Hankooks at a far-flung branch of his company and is getting them for me next week.

Where are you looking??......I've just checked my-tyres.co:-

Rainsports.......£60
Toyo Proxis T1R....£47
Falken ecorun...£57
They have Hankook too at £56 ?

The big question is what are you fitting the new rubber to???!!!! Are you going to refurb the speedlines?
