Default electric polishers- recommendations please

as per the title

Halfords. Always cautious of own branded things, but it's easily found.

other makes, models, sources, if y'all would.

ok.

In this instance, it is primarily for polishing the car. Alternate uses would be considered but I'm a little worried about friction effects.

overall polish/mop the living daylights out of the S4 and other piles of guano with cars encrusted beneath.

Budget. Charity level if at all possible...

Ideally, you want a Random Orbital polisher. Much less chance of damaging the paint with one of these.
('Porter Cable' is a popular make I gather).

Default Polishers

Nearly ten years dead, this thread, but resurrected.

My trusty Draper cheapo gave up spectacularly, yesterday. It’s had a hard life over ten years, having been pressed into service for the S4, Black V8, silver V8, quattro, dad’s Mazda and now the Merc.

6 full uses in all, before the cast aluminium bit shattered, and a scattered bits of broken plastic in all directions!

£45/6cars/9.5years is not a bad return I suppose.

Now, I’m faced with buying a replacement. This time, no urgency, so I can be a bit more selective.

Does the DAS-6 still meet the exacting demands of the CA critics?
£105-130 via Amazon.
What other recommendations or suggestions? Elbow grease was trialled, and found wanting.
