No. it's in Yorkshire, probably Dalby 1 or Dalby 2 on the National Breakdown Rally in 1987. Start and finish was in Bradford City Centre and the main service halt was in Pickering. They cancelled loads of the stages due to the very bad snow. Pentti Arikkala won in the Manta

If memory serves it was Boltby, although I could be wrong. Pentti did indeed win in the Manta, but it was Lindholm who was in control for most of the rally until he retired. Disaster event for Audi when only a year earlier Hannu had dominated in the snow in the Sport q

Very much so Ian! VAG used Ilford XP1 though as it was C41 colour neg chemistry, and could be processed with all the other colour stuff we used to generate for the press packs. I always had a couple of rolls of Tri-X in the bag, though, for those more moodier moments
