One thing to remember about avants, they are getting rare, its hard to find a decent one that is well priced and not got a lot of problems.

Another problem which you want to be careful with but will have suffered with urq's is NLA issues.

Side trims on the wings/rear arch at the bottom are now NLA
when you open the door the covering for the side skirts are NLA
boot load covers NLA
boot lids almost always have rust around the wiper arm
if the number plate lights/dash lights don't work most likely wiring between the bootlid and body.
rear suspension if it feels sloppy is most likely worn bushes which are a pita.

some things to watch there.

The ride as ian mentioned in an avant is brilliant, feels so planted compared to the coupe.

depending what you want to spend, dest on s2forum is tempted to sell his but is also on about stripping it and making a s2saloon.

You can get a pram and Kiddy car seats into a Ur too you know... In fact they're pretty good for most occasions.... And the RS2's an S2 with a £10k premium....
