2.3 NG Rotor Arm replacement?
Hi guys, replaced the dissy cap today and wanted to check before I apply too much pressure trying to remove the rotor arm. It's quite well secured on there!
The B3 Hayes manual I have states that the rotor arm is fixed to the dissy on 7A engines. Not sure if this is the same for later NG ones too? Is it just a case of being more forceful? Replaced the oil and oil filter along with flushing the old coolant out and adding new. Bloody pain in the arse bleeding the coolant as my expansion tank has been cowboy fitted with a short hose to the bottom of the radiator. This puts the tank below the height of the bleed screw. There's no way to raise it as the bodge'er has fitted a crappy metal/ rubber hose too short to raise or even lift it up higher temporarily. That will need replaced at some point. Try and find a bit of plastic plumbing tube that's a tight fit in the neck of the expansion tank, this will give you a bit more head, wrap some tape round it if you have to, fill with coolant .

Blue vag coolant? Some folk say they're picky engines! Some rotors are bonded yep, don't know about the NG.
