Don't forget all modern ECUs are able to compensate the difference between maps and reality Remember, for example, that someone here had fitted 2.6 12v supercharger on original engine. But of course, to make engine running as smooth as possible, maps should be as precise as possible. I think ECU of that 2.4 10v should be adequate, but I don't like that it's siemens - newer T4 2.5 engines, from 1996 onwards have Siemens Simos and I've heard that they have some bad reputation about remapping...
And what do you mean with "easy swap"? |

barr fuel rail again, you can use all the volvo engine managment, but yeah, aftermarket ecu is still the best option! its more the ignition mapping i would be worried about using an ecu from another vehicle, anyway its a crazy project , not at all cost effective, but more a learning exsperience i think lol

Well, if I'll return to latvia [and probably I very soon will] I'll have to do one of this anyway, because driving around my A90q using petrol is no option

I am going to fit an NG bottom end to my KV head as it will fit. Slightly larger displacement so strip and rebuild on the bottom end and fit my modded head. We'll see where we end up, thanks for the banter on this one chaps!!

It is all very speculative at the minute as I have so much to do to the shell of the car, LHD conversion, full ex works cage, seam weld, repair some rust areas, full paint and livery, So the engine is good now after Tony ( 4v6) did a lot of head work on the KV head and we fitted a vernier pulley and a Schrick 282 cam. But the engine will be even better by the time it goes back in, as I am looking for the magical 200bhp which the 2 x UK Sutton Coupe quattros had in 1987. So big project and it will be used for demonstration rallies once complete so it has to be 90+% correct at the very least visual to Group A regs. But I will report as and when the progress changes.
