Default Red Ur Arundel A27

Honest to god, the first time We’ve been out in the Ur and spotted another Ur unscripted in probably 5 years. We ambled down Arundel High St. at around 4.30pm ‘ish and there was a Red B plate Ur pulling out of a parking spot. We exchanged pleasantries and followed each other back along the A27.

I wouldn’t like to say it’s made my week, it’s probably made my year.

Looks tidy too.
Reminds me of when I was motoring down the M4 back to Wales in the S2 and got overtaken by a very nice S2 Coupe. Turned out it was another S2 Forum member out for a spin.

Ian, were you headed east in those photos?

I am 99% sure that Ur is from the Bexhill area. Had a brief conversation with the owner last summer when I spotted him parked up in it. It has had a full respray...

Yes, he continued east towards Brighton. Doing a bit of internet sleuthing (Googled the index plate) it appears quite a bit on the www and at local meets over that way (Bodiam) etc. There’s a picture in 2016 that shows it with a black boot spoiler, dull paint and misaligned rear bumper, so I’d suggest you’re spot on re-recent full respray.

Funny, I never think to look east for car shows.

Yep, quite a few car shows in East Sussex, such as Bodiam. None appear to be widely advertised though. Bexhill car show on August bank holiday has a growing reputation with a wide mix of vehicles, but Covid may put pay to it this year....

I was a slightly disappointed something like that is going on relatively locally and might make a nice run out. But I suspect that is the perils of not being a ‘Facebook’ member.

I’m on FB but don’t see these things - you still need to know about them to know about them, if that makes any sense. There a a few quattros round this area, but not many, and even less being driven. I do intend to be out in mine on a regular basis soon
