Rotten fuel pipes fixed
Have now got two nice shiny new copper fuel pipes on the Coupe.Went to my local B&Q this morning & got a roll of 8MM copper pipe,4 compression fittings & a nifty little pipe cutting tool .The pipes at either end of the underfloor clips were like new so it was just a matter of cutting &joining with the fittings.I was a bit worried they might leak with the pressure and petrol being so searching ,but fingers crossed it seems to be OK so far.Hope this may be of help Paul

dont mind me...i just like to be dramatic... never seen a manufacturer use anything other than flared tube fittings...thats all. certainly wouldn't use compression fittings on the brakes though...ive seen it done.... they don't last long.. |

Rotten fuel pipes
I see what you mean but the fuel lines dont take as much stick as the brakes.Having said that the underside of the car wouldnt look out of place in a bathroom now,but only me & my MOT man will see that
