'85 Coupe quattro windscreen wanted

Hi, in slight desperation, wondering if anyone has a spare , second hand windscreen lying around , or better still stored somewhere safe? My CG is in for a re-spray today , including glass out for the usual bottom of screen repairs. Existing screen already had a crack so "PLAN A" was that the insurance company would replace the screen at end of week. They have just phoned to say that they can't get a bronze tint windscreen and it'll be back order from Pilkington, 6-8 weeks delivery time! Meantime, up at the re-spray garage, the windscreen in my car has been removed...in pieces..... :-(

So I need a stop gap screen if anyone can help, as realistically I prefer not to be without car for the next 2 months.

Any offers/help will be very gratefully received.

I May also be heading down Cornwall way in the next few weeks as it's time I did some more riding at Gawton.

Just need to think about Logistics!

Not quite sure where you are based, but perhaps we could discuss a plan if you can let me know a phone contact. Not sure if we are allowed to post phone numbers here so I'll hang fire with mine.

I'm really in a tight spot regarding the screen as the car will be coming back to a lock up garage on either Friday or Saturday in a windowless state ( front screen ) .After that, the car will be "garage bound" until I can get a screen so your help would be VERY much appreciated

Please advise what you think is best course of action, thanks, Frank
