Default Audi 90 20v (7A) Fuel Pump

Hi folks,

I'm trying to get my old 1991 90 20v started after some years of being sat around under cover. I'm looking for a fuel pump, new or second hand, suitable to fit. Looked up the part number, believed to be 893 906 091B (or E? Not sure of the suffix difference),

Had a look on eBay. Not sure if a new, cheap one is even worth a punt...

Is anyone able to help, please? Thanks for your time,

James

Thank you mikes2, for the recommendation and link - good to know.

I've had a hunt around myself. Found the following Magneti Marelli fuel pump.

https://m.buycarparts.co.uk/magneti-marelli/7613355

Reg check for my 90 20v states not compatible but OEM numbers match and car fitment looks right (not sure what the 8A is though). Has anyone used this particular pump?

EDIT: The pump recommended by Magneti Marelli in their catalogue is a different part number.

ESS0112A, 219900000112
https://m.buycarparts.co.uk/magneti-marelli/7613406

Looks like it has the right terminals to screw on, different to the other one which probably works but would require modification.

Best wishes,

James

Received and fitted the following.

ESS0112A, 219900000112
https://m.buycarparts.co.uk/magneti-marelli/7613406

Terminations are perfect. The original colour coded screw cap terminals fit the pump nicely, no modifications required. The supplier tried to quietly send us an alternative fuel pump (with different terminations) as the Marelli was out of stock. Caught that and insisted on the Marelli.

Car is still off the road. Hasn't been started for a few years. Seems like the fuel pump relay has intermittent contact but the pump primes. Have a fuel feed pipe split to sort out now so can't completely recommend the pump as I haven't got the car started on it... Yet!
