Did you go and see the Red Kites feeding near Rhayader? That's an impressive sight. I went down there a couple of years ago primarily for that, but managed to get in a few of the Elan dams on the same day trip. Keep meaning to go back at some point.

We didn’t visit the Rhayader red kite feeding but we went twice to the Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre 1500 red kite banquet. Incredible sight, must have been in excess of 75 birds, I’ll get our eldest to dig out a photo.

That looks very similar. I must admit I was just expecting that we were going to somewhere where they feed naturally and that there would be some there, I wasn't expecting a bloke to drive a JCB into the field with a bucket full of raw meat and invite them down to feed. Impressive sight, though.

Lol, yes, at Bwlch Nant yr Arian it was a woman with a wheelbarrow full of offal that she then unceremoniously threw everywhere, some of which the more experienced birds caught on the wing whilst others waited for her to bugger off and then pick it off the grass. A lot of carrion shifted pretty quickly is probably the best description.
