Default Audi Tradition Good/ Bad/ Ugly?

Hi All

Been looking at it for a week or so now, a little bewildering but I suppose you get there eventually. They're saying you can't buy from them at the moment due to Visa issues!!

They remind me a bit of CX Basis in Germany for my CX/ Cit parts, they've got them but super expensive, but you do get them & pretty quick. Is AT similar & I've heard they send to your nearest dealer, is that true & does anyone recommend a better source?

Cheers JJ

Audi tradition send out to your door for £25, anything any size so very good value if it's a huge item. The trick is to order lots of bits at a single time to make use of the high postage.

For instance you can buy 4 new alloys and postage is still only £25 which is a bargain. Just don't buy a single clip at £2.00.

Tradition are in some cases cheaper than the dealer was. The site however is a pain to work with.

Deliveries come quickly in copious packaging. £25 it may be but it arrives safely. Have used them several times, shame the inventory doesn't extend to the entire parts catalogue, there are plenty of omissions, some of them glaring!

Certain parts can be arse clenchingly expensive, while others seem more than reasonable!

The payment system has been broken for a good while as well...

Not quite true most are that price but longer packages are dearer.

What did you buy that they charged extra for being longer? Interested to know.

I bought a rear boot carpet from tradition for "another Audi" not typical of this forum.
The carpet is long and finishes right under the edge of the foremost part of the rear seats
ie just before the footwell. So large. The box to came in was huge at 4ft x 3ft and 1ft
and paid just £25 with a good few other smaller item in there.

I had 2 trims that go up the a pillar and along the roof gutter came in a box which was light but about 6ft long cost of trims was 52 and shipping was 41 plus tax
