Audi 80 Avant V6
Audi 80 2.6 Auto Avant.
Now up for sale as spares or repair. It looks tidy, drives well, starts first try and still has mot so you can drive it home. REVERSE GEAR DOESN'T WORK!!! We are not breaking it as we don't have time and its really too nice for that. the car has been replaced as we needed something in a hurry. Nice grey velour interior, working VDO gauges in centre console. Tow bar, boot liner and roller cover. Open to offers. |

That is such a shame as I know how pleased you were with the car. My red Audi 80 Avant Auto gave up on me last year after owning it for only a couple of months. Gear changes were a bit sluggish so I had the auto gearbox oil changed along with the filter...it was the original filter as it was date stamped. 200 miles later i started getting a bit of slip when the car was changing gear which rapidly ended up with the car being virtually undriveable. Seems like the best advice with these auto boxes is just to leave well alone.
My car was sold as spares or repairs and a chap came all the way from Luton to Cornwall to collect.....some months later I heard he had acquired an auto box from Germany for only £150 and had a friend fit it. Car was up and running ok .... Repair of the boxes is costing in the region of nearly 2 grand which made it impractical for me to contemplate. Really sorry to see such a lovely example of the 80 range having to be sold for spares or repair, but have been there and got the "T" shirt. No more auto Audis for me. |

Whereabouts are you in Northampton James? I could be interested if I can drive the car back up to Scotland.
