Sounds good.
My personal preference is Chemical Guys ones, they have different grades of 'aggressiveness' but its amazing how some people (mis)use them...! |

I've never used clay bar before, so I have nothing to compare it with. @Coxy I'll remember that. .

As Mr C said, lube, lube, lube;
make sure you wash the car off first, then take a pice of clay and knead it for a couple of minutes, flatten out into a disc a little bigger than a 50p, spray lube onto the area of bodywork you are going to work on and then clay a smallish area at a time. Make sure to keep folding the clay over, as when it pulls the contaminants out of the paint you dont want them then scratching the paint. Also; if you drop the piece of clay on the floor - bin it, and get a new piece. Coxy is right; make sure you spray plenty of lube on the area you are working. |

what he said, and remember, you don't need to apply any pressure as such, just move it along the paint and you'll feel it drag at first as it's pulling the contaminants out of the paint. You'll notice the difference once you have clayed it as it will glide with ease as soon as you've done it.
If you don't lube, you will marr the paint. |

I used the Mer clay bar on my B4 coupe last week. Great results.
